The crime movie Gangster Squad, directed by Ruben Fleischer, from a screenplay written by Will Beall, has finally hit theaters around the world after it’s original release date in 2012 was pushed back due to the Aurora shootings. Not a strange choice by Warner Bros. Pictures considering the strong graphics of the film focused on a story set in Los Angeles after World War II. The plot follows LAPD officers and detectives as they form a group called the “Gangster Squad unit” in order to keep the city safe from the rising mafia boss Mickey Cohen (played by Sean Penn). The action packed movie has a stellar cast of Hollywood actors led by Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Nick Nolte. For a sneek peak of “Gangster Squad” check out the official trailer below.
