Fashion Week has arrived in Italy, together with the cold and snow, but this doesn’t take away from the spirit of the fashion capital! Milan is full of black mercedes, the hustle and bustle of the city adds to the atmosphere along with “street stylers” and the innovations brought to the catwalks by designers, although there have been protests by animal rights activists, who brought their voice to the catwalk. From New York to Milan the collections are connected to each other, the characteristic they have in common is romantic interpretation and futuristic geometry, mixed textures, a strong punk influences as well as an English style, there is a lot of fur and striped prints are a major trend. The masculine cuts evolve to create an almost ’60s style, but with strong contemporary influences that blend with transparency and tartan. Fashion is always borrowing something from the past, but lives in the future.
